Nyasha Phanisa Sithole

Content and Communications Lead

Nyasha Phanisa Sithole is a highly dynamic leader and passionate renowned conference speaker, an advocate on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV and AIDS, Gender Equity with a special interest in Girls and Women’s Health and Rights. Her key areas of strength are community capacity building, mobilization, training and process facilitation, communications and advocacy. She has led advocacy efforts and coordinated programs to improve the rights of young people in their diversity centering on bodily autonomy, gender equity, and HIV prevention.

She has immensely contributed to youth led advocacy, meaningful engagement and participation, youth led programming and research through various roles as Co-founder for My Age Zimbabwe Trust, youth representative in the Global HIV Prevention Coalition working group, Regional Lead for programs at ATHENA network and founder for DAWA. She is amongst the recognised team of young people in Zimbabwe who worked tirelessly to have the Zimbabwe Youth Empowerment Strategy (2016-2020) which focused on youth development and the demographic dividend and the Next Generation 2020 report for Zimbabwe through British Youth Council.

Nyasha holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sociology and Gender Development studies to further enhance her passion.
