Defending Progress: Strengthening Solidarity and Collective Action in the Face of Funding Uncertainty and Rising Opposition to SRHRs

This Action Learning Cycle will explore how youth-led organisations and movements are navigating growing funding uncertainty and rising opposition to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Together, participants will reflect on shared challenges, exchange experiences and practical strategies, and explore collaborative approaches to strengthening resilience, solidarity, and collective action in an increasingly complex environment.

We hope to gain practical, grounded learning from peers on how organisations across contexts are responding to coordinated opposition to SRHR, funding uncertainty, and shrinking civic space. Beyond high-level dialogue, we are looking for real-time strategies on narrative shift, alliance-building beyond traditional SRHR actors, and sustaining youth engagement under pressure. We also want to strengthen how we support member associations and youth leaders in restrictive environments, while contributing regional experience and lessons from practice.
