Abiba Abdallah

Abiba is a development specialist with over 10 years of experience, guided by a strong commitment to advocacy and justice. She has extensive experience designing meaningful adolescent and youth engagement programmes and advocacy initiatives across SRHR, Menstrual Health Management, Gender, and Climate Justice. She brings expertise in artistic activism, community mobilisation, training and facilitation, and curriculum design for community initiatives, with a focus on amplifying the voices of young people.
Abiba is a Menstrual Health Management Specialist trained by Irise Institute Africa. She is dedicated, approachable, and passionate about working collaboratively with advocates and funders to promote flexible and sustainable funding for youth-led organisations.
Her professional experience includes serving as a Gender and Influencing Specialist for the Women Innovation and Sustainable Enterprise (WISE) Project at Plan International Ghana. She has also worked as Programmes Officer for Move The World (Get Global–Get Local Project) in Ghana, and as Programmes Assistant and Trainer for the Enhancing Women’s Participation in Politics (WIP) Project and She Leads Project at GenCED Ghana.
Abiba has served on the National Advisory Panel for the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) Project at Farm Radio International Ghana. She also served as Chairperson and Advocacy/Campaigns Lead for the Young Urban Women’s Movement in Ghana.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Professional Studies and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Development Communication at the University of Media, Arts and Communication – Ghana Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-GIJ).
