Abiba is a development specialist with over 10 years of experience in advocacy, youth engagement, and social justice. Over the years, she has designed and supported adolescent and youth engagement programmes and advocacy initiatives across SRHR, menstrual health management, gender, and climate justice.

In addition, Abiba brings expertise in artistic activism, community mobilisation, training and facilitation, and curriculum design, with a strong focus on amplifying young people’s voices. As part of this work, she is a Menstrual Health Management Specialist trained by Irise Institute Africa. She is also passionate about working collaboratively with advocates and funders to promote flexible and sustainable funding for youth-led organisations.

Throughout her career, Abiba has held roles with Plan International Ghana, Move The World, and GenCED Ghana, contributing to programmes focused on gender, political participation, youth leadership, and community development. She has also served on the National Advisory Panel for Farm Radio International Ghana’s Nature-Based Solutions Project and as Chairperson and Advocacy/Campaigns Lead for the Young Urban Women’s Movement in Ghana.

Academically, Abiba holds a BA in Information Technology Management from the University of Professional Studies. Currently, she is pursuing graduate studies in Development Communication at the University of Media, Arts and Communication – Ghana Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-GIJ).
