In October 2025, ahead of the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), YIELD Hub brought together young leaders and advocates from across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe for a pre-conference convening. The purpose was to reflect and strategise around the challenge of financing, particularly in light of shrinking civic society space .

This report captures some of the lived realities of young people navigating exclusionary funding systems, opaque application processes, and project-based support that undermines long-term sustainability. Through honest dialogue, participants unpacked how power and resources remain concentrated among a few actors, and how systemic barriers continue to hold youth-led movements back.

Developed with contributors from ARROW, YUWA Nepal, Restless Development, ProFAMILIA Youth Network, among others, this report forms part of YIELD Hub’s ongoing commitment to transform the financing landscape for sustainable, inclusive and youth-led SRHR advocacy.
